Send Marshall to train troops in my capital county. Defensive and offensive moves respectively.ģ. Send Chancellor to raise diplomatic relations in the county of a troublesome vassal or to fabricate claims in a weak neighbor's territory. Send Steward to collect taxes in my capital county. Then you can assign council members to missions. If they are not good, you can consider trying to lure a better one to your court with a matrilineal marriage to one of your courtiers or sisters. I would add to check your council to see how good its members are. This is what I do, and what would be generally good, when starting a new game in an unfamiliar situation.
#HOW TO DO MATRILINEAL MARRIAGE CRUSADER KINGS 2 PLUS HOW TO#
These are just steps to start up, not how to play or anything. Check who your liege is, and their power, succession, etc.
This isn't necessary, but sometimes can be helpful.Ĩ. Make any marriage proposals, you want a young bride, and any beginning attempts at law change.ħ. Vassals so you know who might rebel, who likes you, who doesn't.Ħ. So you know how much power and freedom you have, taxes, ways to improve your country, what succession will be like. Check notifications at top These are normally important, unmarried, claims, duchies, etcĥ. Look around, see who your neighbors are, their strengths, whether they have heirs, etcĤ. I don't have a clue what to even start doing, so I end up just exiting the game and go out looking for more information trying to find that certain something that will make this all "click" and allow me to enjoy that which I've payed for.ġ. Because quite honestly, I start a new game of CK2, and I stare at the game board and honestly. Perhaps if people wouldn't mind too much, they could list their first 10 steps that they do (or maybe 20 or however many) do when they start a new game of Crusader Kings 2 and why they do those steps, and maybe that will help me (and other newbies like myself) to get started into CK2. So, none of them have of yet been able to help me get started in a new game. So, I've watched a couple of let's plays that have been put out so far on CK2, but haven't stumbled upon any of them that really teach the player how to play, they don't seem to mention what they are doing, why they are doing it, and why they are doing it at that time. I'm sure to some it might seem a waste of my money to keep buying these Paradox GS games if I can't figure otu how to play them, however I figure that I'm investing to keep this franchise alive and well, AND maybe one day I'll pick up the right game of theirs that things will just click and I'll figure it all out and be able to run back through all of the GS games that I own and play them, then knowing how. I've bought a few of their other GS games and have only ever manged to twiddle around in them trying to figure out how to play them, but never really figured it out. Well, I've bought another Paradox grand strategy game in hopes of finally figuring out how to play and have more fun.
